ScreenHunter_02 Nov. 03 12.59The Varsity Icecats fell 7-2 to the CCM Tigers Sunday night in Crystal Lake, a game the team needs to put behind them.

Sunday’s game ended a tough week for the Cats. After an impressive 2-1 win last Sunday over Conant came an exhibition loss to Lake Forest Academy Tuesday, followed by a league game loss Friday to Mundelein, despite being ahead 2-0 early.

One positive that did emerge from last night’s CCM game was the play of Tyler Shaholtzer and Ian Donnahoo, who showed some offensive flair in connecting on the team’s only two tallies. Shanny got both goals on nice passes from Ian.

The Cats were without four key forwards Sunday. Jeff Martin, Connor Krukowski and Tommy Tambourine were out with injuries while Tony Rossetti was serving a one game suspension.

The Cats can regroup Monday night at a much needed practice before facing Buffalo Grove at home Wednesday night. After that, the Cats will have a solid week to get healthy and prepere for the annual Stevenson Thanksgiving Tournament.
